Here I am sitting in my bedroom with the sickly prince beside me on the bed watching Jon and Kate Plus 8. And really, there's not much more I can do today.
That's because there our painter has just started on our common areas. Which, in a small house, means that my bedroom, bathroom and laundry room are the only spots that I can go to, without getting in his way. Luckily, the princess is off at daycare where she can play and be a kid. The prince has had a fever and sore throat since yesterday, so he still needs his mommy (the Queen) here.
I can't wait to see it all finished. We've chosen a soft grey for the common areas and a beautiful and energetic blue for the kitchen. The new blinds arrive after Christmas, later than we want, but that's what get for procrastinating about putting in the order. I hate to spend large chunks of money, so I always tend to delay these sort of expenses.
But, I've finally bitten the bullet and realzed that I can't be happy with this home until these items are taken care of. Decorating the house for the holidays will so nice once we have a nice backdrop.
