Goals

I'm feeling tired and energized at the same time. How? Well, I'm tired because a certain little girl has developed the habit of climbing into our bed at whatever hour she happens to wake. So, it could be 2am or 5am. Hard to sleep when you're afraid of turning over and squishing a little person.

However, I'm energized from the creative ideas that have been running through my head. I've also revived the idea of running a small home-based business. I would love to get into photography, which would fit perfectly with scrapbooking for others. And I'm still working on samples of wedding and party invitations, Birth announcements, and greeting cards.

I've been struggling with what I will have to admit is a bit of jealousy. I have a friend that has made leaps and bounds in terms of going after what she wants for her life. She wants to be her own boss, she wants to be successful. And she is not afraid to take the chances. I envy her drive and courage. Once upon a time, I had that energy and courage. Now, I'm always overanalyzing and afraid to do something, for fear that I won't be able to take care of my kids/family's needs, financially. And while I still can't just leave full time employment, I will be taking baby steps towards my goal of being my own boss. I plan to actively speak to friends and family about what I am doing and ask that they help me by putting the word out.

That is my goal for the remainder of this year. By next July, I hope to be selling my cards through stores, ie - gift shops. So, if you happen to be reading this, I would appreciate your help in spreading the word that I sell premade greeting cards, and also do custom invitations, etc.

Now, back to my other work..... the one that pays the bills. Ta-ta for now!
