- Went to a family reunion in Chase on the July long weekend. It was interesting to see how many family members had never meet. And it was heartwarming that the reunion meant so much to those who had somehow become cut-off from the rest of the family. There is a lot of history on hubby's side of the family.
- The next weekend, we had a belated birthday party for our princess. Being the sun loving, outdoorsy girl that she is, we headed to a waterpark that had picnic tables, etc. and had a B-B-Q. Lots of fun for the kids and a good relaxing time for the adults. The next day, summer hockey started.
- Had a girl's night out last weekend to celebrate my BFF's birthday. We went to see Ocean's 13. I have to admit that I wanted to see that movie, more for the eye candy than for the entertainment. I mean, come one, Brad Pitt and George Clooney at the same time, who could resist?
- This week: I was working hard at clearing up my desk, as I prepared to move on to a new job at another company.
I start my new job on Monday, and this weekend was supposed to be another weekend get-away, but it looks like I will have to stick around and complete some work and get the house back in order. This place is just in shambles! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but I do have at least 6 hampers of clothing to fold and put away, plus many other little projects. But, who knows? I just may wake up on Saturday morning and decide to make a quick trip to the island to see my darling little niece. I miss that cutie pie!
So, that's my condensed (?) version of the last few weeks. I'm sure I've left out something, but it'll have to wait for another post. I'm tired and it's time to get some sleep!
