I was just doing some blog surfing, and read this great idea on belladia. She is posting something about herself each day from today until the end of August, using the alphabet as a jumping off point. So, today is "a". I think it might be a fun thing to do that will help me shape up my journaling skills.
So, here goes......
A is for Amie
My name was chosen by my Dad. But, he didn't want to spell it any old way. See, one of his favourite subjects in highschool was French class. My name in french, means "female friend".
Well, I'll tell you that sometimes, it would be easier if he had just spelt it A-M-Y, because half the time, that's how strangers are inclined to spell my name. And don't get me wrong, I like my name, and as I age, I'm more appreciative of this little difference.
And now, I need to get to bed and ponder what B (other than my sister) I have in my life.
