I can't believe that September is over and we're getting very close to turkey time. The last month has definitely passed by in a blur.
Tony and I are hosting this year's turkey dinner on the Hartman side. T's sister is expecting her first baby any day now, so we thought this would take the pressure off of her and also from my mother-in-law. I just hope they are not expecting the usual fare. See, growing up, Thanksgiving dinner didn't usually include turkey. It was usually a roast, rice, and Chinese greens....not very westernized. But, I have learned to roast a bird.
And I know I've mentioned this before, but CKC-Seattle is coming up fast! I'm am excited, especially since my good friend Lesleigh is making plans for us for after the convention is done for us. It's going to be good....Lots of scrapbooking, probably lots of smiles and laughter, and it sounds like also a lot of good food!
And with the hockey season started, I had to decide how to volunteer my time without overextending myself. So, I am now the Team Mom of the Burnaby Bullets. And fortunately, with Tony being Head Coach, it means I don't have to face the scary Score/Time clock! I have been worrying about trying to run that thing for the last 2 years! I know.....I can operate a PC, but scared about a clock? Just try to do that while chasing a 2 year old around the arena!
Anyways, enough rambling. I've been neglecting this blog, so I thought I'd check in.
Have a great Thanksgiving my Canadian friends!
