3 more sleeps!

CK Convention here I come! It is now only 3 more sleeps before I leave for Seattle. I am soooooo looking forward to this trip!

I went out and bought some supplies that I'll need for the 5 classes that I will be taking on Saturday. And I'm making up the list of things to shop for while in the Vendor Faire. I'm hoping to pick up the new My Creative Companion and lots of embellishments, since these tend to be quite expensive in Canada.

I will be missing out on 2 hockey games this weekend, which makes me feel guilty. However, I do keep telling myself that it has been 5 years since I started talking about attending either a CK Convention or CK University (which is now available online).

I've been showing my work to whoever will look and so far, many of them feel that I've underpriced myself. So, I've been working on my pricing and considering whether to put sample albums in some of the high-end baby boutiques around town. And it seems that the word is slowly spreading. One client has already given out my card to her friends and family. My goal is to have 10-12 regular clients by the end of June 2007. And then 10 more in each following year. I have my fingers crossed.

It feels good to have some goals in place. What are you goals? It's too easy to get caught up in simply living isn't it? This year has forced me to re-evaluate, re-think and do some reconnecting (ie - getting in touch with my dear friend Lesleigh). It's time to focus on what's really important.

Okay, so I challenge anyone reading this to leave comments about their goals are for the next year or day or week. Big or small, please put them into words. It makes it more real when you write it out.

TTFN!

amie...i love this post. as for as goals you are so right. if we don't write them down they never happen. my sister and i have been working hard toward a goal or dream for the past 5 months...things are starting to unfold now and it is so awesome to watch all the hard work start to pay off. it has been a long 5 months with lots of ups and downs...tears and laughter...roadblocks and sleepless nights. but all worth it. we still have a long way to go but we are on our way...the funny thing i've learned along the way, is that it's the journey, that makes the goal worth it...it's what we expierence while trying to reach the goal that makes it all worth it!! wish you the best with your goals and journey!
