My household is missing a vital piece.
It's due to the fact that my Ry guy is off camping for the week with Auntie Brenda and her family. They are at the south end of Okanagan Lake. And he's been away from home before, but for whatever reason, we miss him more this time. Sarah particularly misses him. She has not been the same without him. So, I've been making an effort to sit with her to look at family pictures, because Grandma and Grandpa are also on vacation. She's now very good at naming who she sees in the pix and gets especially excited when it's her favourite people.
This past weekend we went to the Chilliwack Rodeo. Yes, you read that correctly :).... I went somewhere with lots of animals, stinky poop, and 99.99% non-Asian people. Sarah and I were the only Asians in the stands. And we had fun. Tony's cousin Chelsea was entered in the barrel races and since we hadn't been to watch her ride in over a year, we thought it was time again to show our support. She won her event for the day, but we haven't yet heard whether she won overall for the junior division. Way to go Chelsea! I wish I had pictures, because it's a rare occurence that you can get me that close to so many horses and cows. But, I had another shameful scrapbooker's day.....forgetting the camera.
And I've been burning the candle at both ends for the last few days. I'm so wanting to catch up with the ideas that I have. I uploaded a few more cards in the Etsy shop and trying to come up with some new ideas for baby announcements. I got some help from Lesleigh...Thanks! I'm lucky that there are some supportive people in my life.
I'm so looking forward to starting the baby album for Michele. She will be printing the photos that she wants to use and then we meet to decide on style of album. I sent her a tip to print her favourite photos in a slightly larger format, ie - 5 x 7, but you know, even I forget to do that. I like the idea of having some "portrait" type pages...just 1 picture on the layout.
Okay, enough rambling on. Gotta go, put on my nasty collections hat and shake some money from the pockets of our clients.
TTFN!
