It's a healthy addiction

At least, that's what I keep telling myself. I'm referring to scrapbooking and papercrafting. I got up late this morning and had to drive in so that I'd be on time for work (skytrain takes too long when you're in a hurry). Why did I sleep in? Well, it could be because I was up until 2:00am last night making these last minute teacher gifts:

I really can only blame myself for the hurried job. I had thought that I'd buy the year end appreciation gifts, but didn't know what to get for DS's two teachers. One of them is finished for the year today, so you can see the urgency. Mrs. Dubinsky's looks like the paper warped, but this morning when the mod podge was completely dry, the cardstock had flattened out. I really enjoyed making these, but I could have been more creative with them if I'd taken more time to do them.
And, I wanted to post a recent pic of dear son. This one is just on Sunday at the pool party.

It's not a great picture, but he has this big smile that tells me he's having a blast.
I'm getting excited about the start of our summer. Next weekend, we are headed to Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo. We haven't been there in about 3 years, and since baby no. 2 is nuts about animals, we thought the trip south would be a great birthday gift. And how about the great shopping? On the way down, we plan on doing some outlet shopping. I particularly want to stop at the Ann Taylor outlet where I always find great deals. And the extra bonus is that we get to visit with the Watson family.
Okay, enough excitement. I need to go back to my work.
