I've finally done it...

I have quit my job at the convention centre. And I'm still stunned that I finally did it. I have been unhappy there for about a year, and was just afraid to make the change. It's been 8.5 years at this company.

But, good things are coming in the new year. I've accepted a job offer to work with my good friend Roger. I will be working only 4 days a week, get to choose which days, and sometimes, if necessary, do some work from home. And although I will make less due to the short work week, it will be wonderful to have an extra day to take care of things at home, or to work on my own business. And after I'm done at the convention centre, I will no longer need to wear a suit to work! Old Navy here I come!

I've been busy with planning a Christmas party for Ry's hockey team. And although the atom teams have been suspended from league play, the boy's spirits were high. They were laughing and bonding, which is just heartwarming to see, especially since they don't know when they will get to play a regular season game again. Lots of political stuff going on, even at this level.

And something unusual happened about 2 weeks ago. Look at this...

It snowed in Vancouver! And it actually stuck around for a bit. The kids just loved it. Lots of snow fights and snowman building going on.

We are now in Christmas mode. T put up lights outside and we've started our shopping. It's our turn to host Christmas dinner, so I guess I need to decorate the inside of the house next. Lots to do.

Okay, it's way past time that I need to put the kiddies to bed. So, goodbye, take care and I'll hopefully get to talk to you, my friends, soon.

Ciao!
